The Town

Conwy originates from the 13th century, when Edward I built a castle there. It took four years and 1,500 men to build, and has been the subject of many sieges.
Conwy also boasts the smallest house in Britain, where once a man of 6ft 3in lived!
Sitting on the mouth of the River Conwy, it has a very picturesque harbour, with a quay which was built in 1833 and used to export slate. With some characterful shops, and architecturally stunning buildings, this town has everything.
